FUTURES Foundation for Volusia County Schools was awarded a $2,000 grant from AT&T for STEM Workplace partnerships to continue the program at University High with Covidien in DeLand.  Twenty University High School STEM Academy students will be broken into (4) teams of (5) students. DAYTONA BEACH - FUTURES Foundation for Volusia County Schools received a $30,000 contribution from Progress Energy for "FUTURES Mini-Grant Program and Volusia County Schools Energy Project". The Mini-Grant program will provide science grants for classroom teachers. The Energy Project will focus on the student's study of alternative energy costs to transfer energy and the conversion of energy.
