FUTURES Foundation for Volusia County Schools was awarded a $2,000 grant from AT&T for STEM Workplace partnerships to continue the program at University High with Covidien in DeLand. DAYTONA BEACH - FUTURES Foundation for Volusia County Schools received a $30,000 contribution from Progress Energy for "FUTURES Mini-Grant Program and Volusia County Schools Energy Project". The Mini-Grant program will provide science grants for classroom teachers. The Energy Project will focus on the student's study of alternative energy costs to transfer energy and the conversion of energy.
