FUTURES Foundation for Volusia County Schools welcomed teachers new to the district on August 5th, 2010 at their"Annual New Teacher Breakfast" held at Mainland High School. The enthusiastic new educators were welcomed by FUTURES President Rosaria Upchurch, Superintendent Dr. Margaret Smith, Volusia County Schools Chairperson Candace Lankford, and Teacher of theYear Kristy Kuches of Heritage Middle School. Jostens, Inc. representatives Ryan Comparato and Paul Pope presented Kristy Kuches with a"Teacher of the Year" ring recognizing her outstanding achievement. The event was sponsored by Daytona Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce, Keiser University and Kennedy Space Center Federal Credit Union.
