Principal Of The Year Award

Lonnie Tidmarsh, principal of Timbercrest Elementary School in Deltona, is the 2023 Elementary Principal of the Year, and John Cash, principal at Creekside Middle School in Port Orange, is the 2023 Secondary Principal of the Year.

The announcement was made during the annual Bus Brigade where a small group of VCS leaders and FUTURES Foundation representatives surprised the winners.

The Principal of the Year award is co-sponsored by Volusia County Schools and FUTURES Foundation.  The purpose of the award is to honor outstanding leadership and service by school-level administrators.
